Email Breach Outreach

Update: 9-4-2021 

After thorough investigation by Orange Cyberdefense it was stated that the email breach perpetrators gained access to the server. Data from the server had not been downloaded. Therefore, QPS is able to conclude that the data is now no longer visible or accessible by a third party. Thank you very much for your patience.


Dear Customer,

We are writing to you because of an incident involving QPS’s email server being compromised.  In this kind of attack, the attackers have access to the entirety of our email server, including email communications between you and QPS. Although we are unaware of any actual misuse of your information, we are providing notice to you and other potentially affected customers about the incident.

What Happened?
Tens of thousands of organizations who run Microsoft Exchange servers have been compromised by individuals who are stealing administrator passwords and exploiting critical vulnerabilities in the email and calendaring application. Microsoft issued emergency patches on Tuesday March 2, but they do nothing to disinfect systems that are already compromised. Our breach occurred within hours after the patch was released by Microsoft.

What Are We Doing?
We’re migrating our email server to the cloud and increasing our security protocols to better protect ourselves moving forward.

What Should You Do?

Be aware that you may be targeted with phishing type email campaigns that appear to come from QPS. These types of emails will sometimes contain attachments that you are asked to open, or links that you are asked to follow. If you see a suspicious email coming from QPS, please do not click on any links or attachments. Check the email address of the sender to ensure that it truly is coming from someone at QPS.

What else can you do?

If you have sent us emails within the last 72 hours, we may have missed them since we shut our email server down. We will notify you via email about further updates.
