IT Specialist – Netherlands

As digital infrastructure becomes more critical to our operations and global impact, we’re looking for an experienced IT Team Lead / IT Specialist to ensure our internal IT systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This is a key leadership and hands-on role, balancing technical execution with team coordination and strategic thinking.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small, motivated IT team, fostering professional development and collaboration.
• Oversee daily IT operations: workload distribution, system monitoring, and incident response.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable IT infrastructure (cloud and on-premise).
• Manage and document IT procedures, SOPs, and compliance processes (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Drive key IT projects (e.g., migrations, audits, AI/DevOps initiatives, license renewals).
• Align IT systems and strategy with business goals across departments.
• Ensure strong cybersecurity practices: endpoint protection, IAM, vulnerability management.
• Optimize hardware procurement, deployment processes, and vendor management.

What we’re looking for

• Leadership and mentoring skills with a proactive, supportive approach.
• Excellent knowledge of:
  • Networking & Security (WatchGuard, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Microsoft stack: Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Defender
  • GDPR, ISO 27001, secure DevOps
  • Automation/Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Monitoring & backup tools (e.g., Veeam)
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align IT infrastructure with business growth.
• Curious and committed to continuous learning in areas such as AI, DevOps, and cloud trends.
• Strong documentation and communication skills to support non-technical colleagues.
